I highly recommend Kakes by Kathie! Kathie created two fantastic cakes for our
recent Wedding in Kaleden BC. The brides cake was a beautiful replica of a
Martha Stewart Cake that I had seen in a magazine. The grooms cake was a
bust that was modeled off my husbands Military Uniform. She matched every
little detail on his uniform from the color of the ribbon attached to his
medals, to the tiny pins on his collar and the seams on the pockets. People
couldn't get over how close it was to the real thing. Kathie was amazing during
the brainstorming process sending us ideas and was always quick to respond
when I had a questions. She personally delivered the cakes on time and made
sure they were set up beautifully so we didn't have to worry about a thing.
Guest from the wedding still come up to me and say that it was the best wedding
cake they have ever tasted. People even went up for seconds!!!

Kathie made a delicious cake for our son's wedding last July in Kelowna.
As we all live out of town we could not taste Kathie's cakes before hand but she
reassured me that she could do the flavour that we wanted and that we
would be very satisfied with our choice. Well we were more than satisfied.
The cake was absolutely delicious, beautifully decorated, and delivered on
time by Kathie herself. We used the cake as our desert and had great
reviews from everyone. Kathie was the only one who could assure me that every
step would be taken to insure no nuts or peanuts would come near our cake,
therefore even those with nut allergies were able to enjoy this delicious
desert. Would definitely recommend Kathie for any special occasion cakes!!

Kathie made me a gorgeous three tier wedding cake with gorgeous hand made Calla Lillie's and white drapery. It was stunning, elegant, and exactly what I hoped for. It also tasted like heaven with layers of Irish Baileys & Raspberry cream filling!!
We had tons of compliments! Kathie was very friendly and fun to work with and
very affordable!! I recommend her to everyone I know looking for Cake for any

Just can't say enough good things about Kathie. We gave Kathie a picture of my
"dream cake" and she was so excited to recreate it for us. What an amazing job
she did. Our cake looked even more amazing than the photo I had sent. We had
chosen 3 different flavours. Pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing, Lemon cake
with lemon buttercream and chocolate cake with amaretto buttercream. Everyone
loved them all, the cake was so moist and the buttercreams were not too sweet
and overpowering like some can be. We had our smallest tear made out of pumpkin,
and wow, did people ever fight over it. We had to hide some for my husband
because it's his favourite. Overall, Kathie is a pleasure to work with. Her
cakes are beautiful and delicious!

Kathie from Kakes by Kathie was amazing to work with, and I am SO glad we chose her to do our wedding cake! She was so friendly and professional throughout the entire process and made our cake exactly like I had dreamed of! The cake tasted amazing! I had ordered a 4 tier cake planning on having plenty of left over, and it ended up all being eaten that night!
