Are You Interior Health Approved?
You bet! We are a legal, licensed, health inspected store front business. We work out of a commercially inspected kitchen and meet all Interior Health regulations.
How far in advance should I place my order?
Make sure you reserve your date well in advance. We are a small custom cake boutique, so we take orders only until we reach our capacity. Some weekends book up over a year in advance, other times we may be able to accommodate you with as little as a few days notice. As soon as the date is set for your event, we recommend calling and reserving your date. You will need to know the approximate number of guests to reserve the date. Any other details you have at that time will be helpful.
As everything is made fresh per order we are unable to accommodate same day cake orders. We do have a daily selection of cupcakes and treats available in store for last minute requirements.
How much do your cakes cost?
Every cake created is unique and will be priced based on time and ingredients required. However, most cakes will fall into these basic ranges:
Basic cake design: Start at $8.00 per serving
3D sculpted cakes: Start at $225
Cupcakes start at: $39 per dozen
Mini cupcakes from $20 per dozen (minimum order 2 dozen per flavour)
Donuts: Start at $45 per dozen
Mini Pies: Start at $36 per dozen
Cookies: Start at $36 per dozen
Brownies: Start at $42 per dozen
Macarons: Start at $27 per dozen
Edible cupcake toppers and embellishments start from $6 per dozen
Wedding Tasting pack $60
Prices are calculated on servings intended, for example an 6 inch round cake is intended to serve 12, therefore the base price for a 6 inch cake would be $96. Please refer to our serving guide for intended servings.
Do you offer gluten free and vegan friendly options?
Yes, we are happy to offer vegan friendly and gluten free option! Please note that gluten free products are baked in a kitchen containing wheat and although we take every precaution to avoid any cross contamination there is never any guarantee.
Do you offer sugar free and diabetic friendly options?
YES! We offer sugar free, low GI options as well! Please note we DO NOT use artificial sweeteners like aspartame or sucralose in our sugar free baking. Only natural, high quality substitutes such as monk fruit and erythritol are used for all of our sugar free baking. A 6" sugar free cake starts at $108 for a basic design.
Are you a nut-free facility?
No, our kitchen contains peanuts, peanut butter, almond flour, pecans and hazelnuts.
What is your payment policy?
A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve your order; the remainder is due at least two weeks
prior to your event. Your order is not confirmed until we have received your 50% payment.
For orders totalling less than $300 full payment is required. Cake orders placed with less than two weeks notice require payment in full at the time of ordering. All payments are non-refundable.
Payment can be made by cash, email transfer, Visa or MasterCard.
Do you deliver?
Delivery and set up of your wedding cake will typically be included with your wedding quote with some exceptions. Wedding cake delivery is available to Vernon, Kamloops, Oliver, Osoyoos, Kaleden, Penticton, Summerland and the Shuswap area for an additional cost. Please inquire for additional areas. Specialty cake orders require pickup unless previously arranged.
Are you able to ship cakes?
Due to the fragile nature of cake we are unable able to ship. We do, however, have a large delivery area including Penticton, Kaleden, Oliver, Osoyoos, Vernon, Kamloops, Armstrong and the Shuswap area.
Do you provide tastings?
Tastings are available with your consultation or for pickup for $50. Tasting packs must be ordered with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Consultations days are limited to Monday-Wednesday and evening appointments are not available. Sometimes scheduling doesn’t allow for a sit down consultation and tasting pack pick up can be arranged for anytime during store hours.
How do I cut a cake?
People are often inclined to cut a round cake into pie shaped pieces. This will result it oversized slices and fewer servings from your cake. For cakes 8” or larger in diameter this video will be helpful. Use a knife rinsed with hot water throughout the cutting process exercising caution. This will help facilitate clean, uniform slices.
